Julia Ann Taylor, SEP (she/they)
As a versatile professional, I bring together my roles as a Somatic Experiencing® practitioner, relational repair facilitator, artist, dancer, mother and community leader to support individuals in their journey towards wholeness, resilience, authenticity and meaningful connection. My personal journey has included over two decades of dedicated study, practice and facilitation in the areas of relational repair, consent culture, the restorative and transformative justice movements, compassionate communication, as well as polyvagal and attachment theory. I also have a profound and lifelong connection to a variety of modalities that are grounded in the principles of embodiment, dance, deep play, and improvisational movement, such as Contact Improvisation, Authentic Movement and Butoh dance.
My approach to working with clients is firmly grounded in the intention to create a dynamic balance between intentionality, creativity, presence, attunement, practical skill building and a willingness to experiment. I believe in the power of incremental adjustments and integrated practice, recognizing that change unfolds through continuous learning and adaptation. This perspective enables me to create spaces that prioritize growth, authenticity and the integration of embodied experience, which allows my clients to show up with more integrity, alignment and responsiveness to themselves, as well as their relationships and communities.
